A Month of Tweets “March”
We publish frequent tips daily almost daily on our Twitter ( PRINT_BLOCKS ) , sign up and follow us for more great ideas next month!
(its also the handy tip that shows up at the top of our blog)
_
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: be ready for those priceless Easter egg hunt photos! Try keeping one eye looking through the camera & the other on the action!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: use your Tags Bags Boxes & More cartridge and a 12′ x 24′ #Cricut Expression mat to cut boxes big enough to hold Easter treats!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: using #Cricut to cut fabric? Since fabric requires a very sharp blade, use a marker to label them with an F to keep them separate
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: remember, crafting is about having fun. Don’t worry if things aren’t perfect. Handmade projects r special because they have character!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: set goals for yourself. Try taking 5 sets of photos a month and creating a layout for each one of them!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip:using natural elements like leaves & twigs on your page? Avoid letting them come into contact with your photo as they are NOT acid free!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: try using a wide ribbon threaded through narrow slits in your page. The narrow openings will bunch the ribbon a give a gathered effect
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: when shooting photos, take a series of images instead of single snapshots so you can choose the best shot or use them all together!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: the best way 2 ensure you’ll have a great page layout is 2 take your photos with scrapping in mind. Think of your page before u shoot!
PRINT_BLOCKS: did you know you can find even more detailed daily tips and images of great projects on our facebook page? http://ow.ly/1nc5C
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: a quick and easy way to add texture to a layout is to include felt or glitter coated embellishments!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: for a subtle image effect, use your favourite stamp and an ink that’s a similar colour to your cardstock
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: Coordinate your title letters with your feature embellishments by painting or inking them the same colour
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: colours in your photo don’t match with the paper & embellishments u want 2 use? Print them black and white & your page colours will pop
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: stitching your page? Don’t forget to try using decorative stitch options! Try stitching a straight line, then switching to zig zag
PRINT_BLOCKS: Instead of always using brown & black inks to ink your paper edges, use a coordinating colour. For blue paper use a dark blue ink.
PRINT_BLOCKS: Weekend Challenge: try making page elements out of an unconventional material like bubble wrap. Push yourself 2 use something strange!
PRINT_BLOCKS: Tip: use white & only one other colour on your layout. Choose a colour that will complement your photo & use varying shades
